The 4 hour drive for a camping trip at Killarney is totally worth it to experience the beautiful landscape and wilderness it has to offer. It's a huge park that's covered in hiking trails and natural terrain, but there's also a massive swimming pool in the day-use area if you're looking to cool down.

The campground was huge and clean. Rattlesnake Point Named after the snaking pathways created by glaciers along the Niagara Escarpment and not the venomous rattlers , Rattlesnake Point is located in Milton, less than an hour from Toronto. There's even a bonafide campground within Toronto's borders.
I wanted to mention Bon Echo because you can rent cabins and tents, which you don't see a lot of these days. I recommend this place because you're close enough to towns to access emergency services for kids , restaurants and supplies while still getting that outdoor, camping thrill campfires, canoeing, tents etc.
In addition to hiking adventures, Rattlesnake Point is popular with rock climbing enthusiasts. Everything was as is described.
